IMBA and IMBRA and all that?

Im planning a trip, not sure when I will be able to take it but I'm saving money and doing the research now so I am ready.

I am seeing a lot of stuff about IMBRA, and now I'm seeing this IMBA thing as well - are these actually different acts?

What do these acts mean and how do they actually affect this process? I know you have to have the IMBRA form signed to be able to give contact back and forth, but that's pretty much the only thing I know abou imbra at this point.

Both the same

IMBA is not the international mail order bride act, like some say it is. It is the international marriage broker regulation act (IMBRA). In "English" it means that before an agency can introduce men personally or by mail, The customer using the service must have a background check. Here's the "sucky" part of the law. There is absolutely no mention that the women have to be checked, for obvious reasons. That is why when an agency tells you that they have background checked the women, I know they are lying. 100 women in a 3 day tour in no way cannot be background checked. This is especially true when you see the business owners handing out flyers at the club to meet foreign men stating " make all your dreams come true $$$"

IMBRA

This is Bud with A Foreign Affair....

While IMBRA has its contentious parts - like the assumption that 100% of the men who pursue foreign lifemates are inherently dangerous - it was authored with good intentions and we comply 100% with the law. There is no correlation between IMBRA and our screening policies. We have every woman submit her passport or identification at the time her profile is submitted to our website. If there were any documented problems in her background, they would be noted there. AFA is committed to helping quality people find each other and a very few men are concerned about a formal screening process beyond verification of each lady's background data.

Having just completed 6 socials in as many cities, I can honestly say I was priveleged to meet so many high-quality people at our events. I am extremely proud of the men and the women who put faith in us to help them find their life-partners abroad.

If you have any doubt to the above, please contact us. We'll be happy to help you contact our previous tour clients for more information.

Thanks for your feedback!

umbrella bs

Yes it's a shame that the umbrella act just assumes that all of the pepole who want to get involved with dating on an international level is a criminal or a pervert or something ridiculous. Are there people like that on match.com? yes of course there are so why are these kinds of specific limitations applied to only certain companies, while others doing the exact same thing are left alone?

Crazy world we live in.

IMBRA LAW IS OFFENSIVE

I had to go through all this IMBRA bullshit when I wanted to attend an introductory tour to meet a woman in the Ukraine. I'm so gdamned offended to be treated like a criminal so that some zealot feminist senator feels good about herself. The law implies that men are scum and have to be approved in order to travel or meet someone outside the US.

This is a strictly socialist far left intrusion into men's lives. The left loves to tell everyone but themselves what to do. They are SICK with it. They are the lowest form of life on this planet and should be put behind bars to spare the rest of us their vomit-agenda.

Our country (US) was founded on self reliance, not rules laid down by bitter, arrogant little trolls who only have orgasms when they get over on the public.

Worse, they always dress up their treasonous laws to look like goodness or safety for others, when in fact they are trojan horse-like attacks at the fabric of americanism. I hate them so much, and this rotten IMBRA law is a perfect example of what is wrong with this country.

IMBRA is necessary

To the ...um... gentleman who writes that IMBRA is offensive, you obviously have no clue as to sexual abuse by american men who travel to foreign countries. Thousands, if not millions of foreign women have been raped at the hands of predatory american men who travel overseas, commit crimes against women and children, and then return safely back to their lives in the USA. Many times they return to their unsuspecting wives and families who have been lied to and believe that 'daddy was just on a business trip'.

IMBRA will not stop predatory men but it does take a step in the right direction.
